This popular artist who graced us with his presence in 2018 here at Picardi Place will be doing so in 2019 again.
This singer-songwriter grew up on a farm in Walkersville between Johannesburg and Parys.
He got the top prize for Jazz at the Tshwane University of Technology. After he completed his studies, he accompanied the famous Jak de Priester on piano and also Bobby van Jaarsveld.
Jak de Priester calls him an exciting unique voice, a fresh sound not yet heard in Afrikaans music. He is an original songwriter with beautiful melodies. Favorites are ‘Dra die liggies’… ‘Hardloop in die veld in’… and ‘Lig op die Horison’…
The music itself will take you on a journey from upbeat to introspective. The lyrics are based on personal experiences and is unpretentious and authentic.
